|Monday – Wednesday & Friday||There will be five class periods per day; two in the morning, three in the afternoon. It’s up to you to decide how many of the classes to attend – no one is expected to go to all five, but if you want to, you may. Thus, it’s also up to you to schedule your own free time for practicing, resting, etc.|
|Tuesday||Take your pick from five different classes!|
|Wednesday||Take your pick from five different classes!|
|Thursday||Short class day with classes ending at 2:45, followed by free time for other activities, including the exciting triathlon.|
|Thursday Evening||The ever popular campers’ “Talent/No-Talent” night. Everyone is encouraged to participate! If the night is clear, we’ll march to the campfire and enjoy s’mores and jamming around the campfire.|
|Friday||Take your pick from five different classes!|
|Saturday||Campers Concert followed by outdoor Barbeque.|
|Saturday Evening||End-of-camp celebrations.|
|Sunday, August 5th||Departure Day. No events are scheduled, just breakfast, wave the bus off to the airport (leaves about 8:30 AM), and say to all our new and old friends, “See you next year!”|
The specific class schedule will be distributed Sunday evening. Some classes may be called “Intermediate”, “Advanced” or “Beginning”, and it’s up to you to decide which level of class is most rewarding for you. You may go to the same classes every day, or move around as you wish. In addition to classes in many instruments and fiddle styles, there will be classes in dancing, singing, ensemble playing and maybe a few we don’t even know about yet!
If you would like to see an example, click to see the 2016 Class Schedule. Of course the 2018 Schedule will be different, but the days will be structured the same.
Every evening (except Sunday & Thursday) will be filled with various organized jams, concerts and dances. Snacks are usually served at about 10:00 during the dance. Jamming continues into the wee hours!
As a reminder, those attending as Guardians are welcome to all meals and all evening events; however, they may not attend any of the daytime classes (unless accompanying a child). If you are registered as a Guardian but you decide you would like to attend any of the daytime classes, you may simply convert to camper status by notifying Mark Luther and paying the difference ($120).
