THE HARP STUDY PROGRAM at ROCKY MOUNTAIN FIDDLE CAMP (RMFC)

 

With noted instructors Laurie Riley and Margot Krimmel

 

August 5-12 and 12-19, 2007

Structure: The Harp Study Program features your choice of one or two full-immersion weeks, with instruction for all levels of skill (and all ages) from absolute beginners through intermediate, advanced, and professional.  Separate classes will be taught for each skill level, with dedicated children and adult classes.  We will also bring all the students together for special fun sessions.

 

If harp is not your primary instrument at RMFC, you are still very welcome to attend the harp program during the scheduled class day.

 

Curriculum: the instructors are planning a varied choice of subjects, most likely to include:

 

Basic and advanced techniques

Music reading and Sight Reading

Healthcare music repertoire styles

Celtic, South American, soft jazz, folk, Swedish and Norwegian music, and other styles

Arranging and Composing

Left Hand Development

Ensemble playing

Accompaniment

Ornamentation

Repertoire

Stage skills

Ear Training

Chords and Harmonies

Fun sessions for the whole group
